All about Butter
Local to Dorset
We are proud to bring you an extraordinary treat from our neighbours at the Dorset Dairy Company - their limited edition, traditionally made butter. This is not just any butter; it's a testament to the art of dairy craftsmanship, embodying the richness of Dorset's lush pastures and the dedication of its local farmers.
Our Dorset butter starts with the finest quality cream, skimmed off the milk used to make the Dorset Dairy Company's acclaimed fat-free yoghurt. This cream, already imbued with the fresh, wholesome flavours of Dorset milk, forms the basis for a butter-making process steeped in tradition.
The cream is first soured with lactic bacteria, a process that deepens its flavours and readies it for churning. It's then churned by hand, on the very farm where the milk is sourced, in small, carefully monitored batches. This slow, methodical churning results in a butter that's incredibly rich, with a perfectly balanced creaminess.
The final step is to hand-roll the butter into logs, ready for your table. This handcrafted approach ensures that every batch of butter we offer is a limited, special edition - a piece of Dorset's heritage brought to life.
The Dorset Dairy Company's butter is a culinary delight, perfect for spreading on a crusty piece of bread, melting into your favourite recipes, or even savouring on its own. It brings a touch of luxury to any meal, elevating the simplest dishes with its rich, creamy flavour.
But the appeal of our Dorset butter extends beyond its taste. By choosing this local delicacy, you're also supporting sustainable farming practices and a reduced carbon footprint. And since the butter is made from cream that would otherwise go unused, you're also contributing to a more waste-free food system.
In short, our Dorset Dairy Company butter is not just a local product; it's an experience. It's the taste of Dorset's pastures, the embodiment of traditional craftsmanship, and a tangible commitment to sustainability. Indulge in the delight of this handcrafted butter and elevate your culinary experiences with Central Fruits.
